Wise Wizard Games announced the launch of Wacky Wizard Games, a new brand imprint focused on family-friendly, lightweight games. Three games are planned for release in 2024 as part of this new brand imprint: Star Realms Academy, Caution Signs, and Pack the Essentials. If you are interested and attending PAX Unplugged they will have prototypes of Caution Signs and Pack the Essentials. "We are super excited to be adding this new family friendly product line to our catalog. We wanted to maintain the focus of Wise Wizard Games on strategy card and dice games with geeky themes, and have created Wacky Wizard Games as an umbrella for lightweight games with a more whimsical, cute vibe," shared Debbie Moynihan, COO of Wise Wizard Games. Star Realms Academy Forge your own star realms, overloaded with cuteness! A kid friendly but still fun for grown-ups version of the popular Star Realms deckbuilding game for 2 players. Baltimore Comic-Con Kicks Off Tomorrow!


BALTIMORE, MARYLAND - September 4, 2014 - The 15thAnnual Baltimore Comic-Con kicks-off tomorrow afternoon, Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Baltimore Convention Center! The show floor will open at 1:00 pm (12:00 pm for VIP Ticket holders), but box offices will be open as early as 10:00 am.


Here are a few last-minute reminders for attendees:



  • We are in the Pratt and Howard Street Lobby this year (which is different from years past).
  • Tickets to Friday evening's All-Star Reception will be available at the Ticket Office.
  • Be sure to arrive early, as lines to enter when the show floor opens will begin to form early.
  • All attendees need to bring their receipt from their online ticket purchase and a photo ID, and follow directions of staff members to guide them to the proper lines where their receipts will be collected and wristbands issued.
  • Those who purchased the VIP Packages should go the Will Call booth to attain their packages.
  • The 6th Annual Costume Contest, sponsored by StylinOnline.com, will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Registration will begin as soon as the show opens at 10:00 am. Contest Registration forms will be handed out at all ticket booths for all patrons interested in entering the costume contest to further speed the registration process. Over-18 registration will cost $5. Under-18 registration will be free.
  • To ensure everyone has a safe and fun weekend, please familiarize yourself with the Baltimore Comic-Con Harassment Policy and Weapons Policy.

Regretfully, we have to announce that a few of our guests have had last-minute cancellations. Frank Barbiere, Eddy Barrows, Bernard Chang, Jimmy Cheung, Rachel Deering, Dan Didio, Tom Feister, Agnes Garbowska, and Keith Giffen will all unfortunately be unable to make it to this year's event.

District Noir by Pandasaurus Games Coming Soon

Pandasaurus has announced a new 2 player set collection game District Noir is coming this summer. Preorders will start on May 19th with retail release planned for July 19th. District Noir was originally published in Japanese by Taikikennai Games in 2016 as Throne and Grail. It was then published in 2019 as Chocolate Factory by Nasza Księgarnia in Polish.
