Wacky Wizard Games Imprint and Three New Games Announced by @wwizardgames

Image
Wise Wizard Games announced the launch of Wacky Wizard Games, a new brand imprint focused on family-friendly, lightweight games. Three games are planned for release in 2024 as part of this new brand imprint: Star Realms Academy, Caution Signs, and Pack the Essentials. If you are interested and attending PAX Unplugged they will have prototypes of Caution Signs and Pack the Essentials. "We are super excited to be adding this new family friendly product line to our catalog. We wanted to maintain the focus of Wise Wizard Games on strategy card and dice games with geeky themes, and have created Wacky Wizard Games as an umbrella for lightweight games with a more whimsical, cute vibe," shared Debbie Moynihan, COO of Wise Wizard Games. Star Realms Academy Forge your own star realms, overloaded with cuteness! A kid friendly but still fun for grown-ups version of the popular Star Realms deckbuilding game for 2 players. A little less math, no reading necessary, but still tons of fun!

So She Finely Knows What It Feels Like

It breaks my heart that this series is ending, it's actually a very entertaining series. But Of course, Marvel doesn't know how to treat a talented writer with respect, they didn't even give him a decent relaunch, it just started from 58, and of course many comic fans avoided it.

Anyways, on to the review. The art is spectacular, each fight, sequences and character is drawn in extreme detail. On a couple of panels there is a literal hole that separates two dimensions and it's absolutely spectacular.

What I liked most about this issue is the fact that a lot of things happen, and usually when so many elements play out, the series in general becomes mediocre at best, so props to Jeff Parker for managing and executing all these elements so well, it actually surprised me. Furthermore, Man-Thing is hilarious, but more importantly, Betty, after years of being the a none stop complaining machine, finely experiences Bruce's life, and she finely understands how terrible his life has been. the side characters are well used as well, no one particularly feels useless which happens a lot in current comics, and Aaron and She Red She-Hulk are an awesome team. The Only Complaint I have is the fact that in Betty's dream sequence she gets exposed to gamma radiation and turns red, which should not happen, because the only reason she and her father are RED skinned is because of the mixture of cosmic and gamma rays.

Goodbye Cho, Hello Wells!

If anyone really knows me around here it won't much of a surprise to them that I hated how things were concluded in Savage Wolverine 5, and that there were Many OTHER things I disliked about that specific issue.....anyways, with the second Wolverine series not being much of a success, it was bout time that we get something worthwhile, and lucky Zeb Wells came along.

I'll be honest here for a second, I am not really a fan of the art style here, but don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's bad, just that it doesn't sit all that well with me. However, it is still great and some fight scenes as well as Wolverines characters design is flat out awesome, and he does really live up to the SAVAGE name with the look he has been given here.

As for the story, much doesn't really happen here, from what I gather this was supposed to be a set up story for the rest of the arc, and it did exactly that. Zeb Wells Manages to not only set up everything, but along with it portray each and every character awesomely. i'm serious, the characterization was awesome. Wolverine is acting like himself again, serious, dangerous, and sometimes combustive. Elektra was herself for once, she was a silent ninja, and a killer, which is exactly how she should be. seeing her in Thunderbolts acting like an idiot (who would follow Deadpools plan?) isn't the best deal for fans, even though I'm not exactly a hardcore Eelektra fan. But the most important change was with Spider-Man. Yes, this takes before superior ever happened so Peter is back, and he is hilarious, which is also sad because I wish he came back permanently already, though seeing him for a short period of time was awesome either ways and a good treat for fans.

Hammer Time

This has been a good series so far, honestly, this is one of the best current titles. I'll be honest here for a minute, I'm not really a fan of Jason Aaron's work in general, not because he is a bad writer, and he is a nice guy of course, but his style of writing never really fits the general marvel story telling, personally I think that he works well with Image, you know? the gory and gritty style never really fits marvel most of the time, and when it does it's a bit different toned at the end of the day. Also, I disliked his Incredible Hulk very much. But there is one thing clear here, Jason Aaron loves Thor and his fans, and that passion can be seen with the pages, I can truly see that this Thor rocks, and I mean seriously rocks, and Jason Aaron has not only been consistent, but also, he left not questions unanswered.

First of, Esad Ribic has done some seriously astounding work, when I say that he is THE Thor artist I am not kidding around, his style fits the story so well that it is seriously delightful to flip through the pages. The action is bloody and gory, the three Thors look amazing, and Gorr looks frigging dark and dangerous.

Now on to the story. this issue is dedicated to the three Thors kicking arse, and let me tell you that it's damn satisfying, but the case is that usually the story doesn't move forward most of the time when it comes to current comics, but I am thankful that doesn't happen here, besides the fact that these three Thors are engaged in a bloodthirsty battle with Gorr, lots of developments take place. First of all, we finely learn why Gorr became so strong and powerful, I have wondered why Gorr was suddenly powerful enough to take on a sky-father Thor as well as all three Odinsons at the same time while at one time young Thor gave Gorr a good fight, and we get a simple yet cool explanation.
