Wise Wizard Games announced the launch of Wacky Wizard Games, a new brand imprint focused on family-friendly, lightweight games. Three games are planned for release in 2024 as part of this new brand imprint: Star Realms Academy, Caution Signs, and Pack the Essentials. If you are interested and attending PAX Unplugged they will have prototypes of Caution Signs and Pack the Essentials. Cover & Solicit 5/5


I liked both covers for this issue. The art style and of the first matches what we see in the comics, while the second cover is more of a toy style representation. Who wouldn't want an Orion Pax toy that looked like that. The solicit however is inaccurate as Orion doesn't get lost in the wilderness, and is instead on a rescue mission traveling thru the Sea of Rust.

Art, Colors & Inking 5/5


The art and coloring in this issue were beautiful. I always hate Transformers books that try to get to stylized because you can't tell whose who. IMO the Transformers are best drawn in a more Anime style (while not being cartoony) with clean lines and bright colors.

Layout & Flow 5/5


Being a prequel to not only Autrocity and the current IDW series this book did a good job of not overwhelming the readers. I personally forgot how Orion was damaged to the point of needing a new body, but in the end it didn't really hinder my reading and enjoyment.

Story 5/5


Like I mentioned this issue takes place before Transformers: Autocracy at the start of the rebellion on Cybertron. Orion has just been given a new body by Wheeljack, minus one key feature, Optimus' signature face-plate. Orion and company have to escort two prisoners to the Sea of Rust to exchange with the Decepticons for the Autobots chief medical officer Ratchet. Things go down hill fast as the Autobots are first attacked by the Sea of Rusts inhabitants before being escorted into the heart of the Decepticon base. This issue does a great job of outlining the character of Optimus before he became Prime and lays the groundwork for the followup comics in the IDW universe. I'd highly recommend this to old and new Transformers fans alike.

District Noir by Pandasaurus Games Coming Soon

Pandasaurus has announced a new 2 player set collection game District Noir is coming this summer. Preorders will start on May 19th with retail release planned for July 19th.
