Wise Wizard Games announced the launch of Wacky Wizard Games, a new brand imprint focused on family-friendly, lightweight games. - Would I pick-up the comic based on the solicit/cover alone? Are the alternate covers appealing? Does the solicit/cover portray what happens in the issue?

- Do I personally like this artist's style? Does the artist stay true to the characters appearance?

- Does the work blend well with the artist? Is the coloring/inking enjoyable and easy to distinguish what's happening? Can I easily read the lettering?

- Does the layout of the issue make it easy to read? Does the issue have a good flow of the plot and keep me engaged?

- Weighted Triple. How well did the issue further develop the current story? How well did the issue further develop the characters? Did I enjoy reading the issue?

Verdict - 4.4

- Wow reading other reviews for this issue almost made me not want to read it, but I'm glad I did. I'm glad the artist changed for this issue as I hated the Pink Panther Beast from Wolverine & the X-Men #20 - The Search for Something New, but for some reason even this artist can't get Beast right, this time he looks big a puffed up. I feel like they wanted to go for a lion look but if fell flat. Otherwise this is a great issue. It seems like most of the reviews are complaining about the quality of the book compared to say All-New X-Men but I however see it differently. While most of the other X-books are concentrating on Cyclops vs. Wolverine and the fate of mutants, this feels more like a "fun" book. It concentrates more on the younger mutants like Avengers Academy did, rather than the mutant infighting. This issue brings the teachers of the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning under the control of Frankenstein's Monster (Frankenstein) and his Murder Circus. We learn that he has a vendetta against Victor Frankenstein's heirs and the last heir Maximilian von Katzenelnbogen is in Westchester under orders of Kade Kilgore to recruit Oya to the Hellfire Club. Like I mentioned this is a fun read and a good deviation from the other X-Books, and it will be fun to see Students vs. Teachers in the next issue.

District Noir by Pandasaurus Games Coming Soon

Pandasaurus has announced a new 2 player set collection game District Noir is coming this summer. Preorders will start on May 19th with retail release planned for July 19th.
