Wise Wizard Games announced the launch of Wacky Wizard Games, a new brand imprint focused on family-friendly, lightweight games. Three games are planned for release in 2024 as part of this new brand imprint: Star Realms Academy, Caution Signs, and Pack the Essentials. If you are interested and attending PAX Unplugged they will have prototypes of Caution Signs and Pack the Essentials. "We are super excited to be adding this new family friendly product line to our catalog. We wanted to maintain the focus of Wise Wizard Games on strategy card and dice games with geeky themes, and have created Wacky Wizard Games as an umbrella for lightweight games with a more whimsical, cute vibe," shared Debbie Moynihan, COO of Wise Wizard Games. Star Realms Academy Forge your own star realms, overloaded with cuteness! A kid friendly but still fun for grown-ups version of the popular Star Realms deckbuilding game for 2 players. A little less math, no reading necessary, but still tons of fun!

Wii U Will Not Play DVD or Blu-ray

Image
Nintendo  Global President  Satoru Iwata  confirmed at a question-and-answer session for analysts during last week's 2011 E3 Expo that his company's upcoming Wii U game console cannot play DVD or Blu-ray Discs. Iwata said that the increased costs that playing video DVD and Blu-ray Discs would add, due to patents, outweigh the benefits. He added that he thinks people who would need to play DVDs and Blu-ray Discs would already have players. Similarly, the current  Nintendo Wii  cannot play DVDs or Blu-ray Discs. Specifications for the console: Launches: 2012 Size: Approximately 1.8 inches tall, 6.8 inches wide and 10.5 inches long. New Controller: The new controller incorporates a 6.2-inch, 16:9 touch screen and traditional button controls, including two analog Circle Pads. This combination removes the traditional barriers between games, players and the TV by creating a second window into the video game world. The rechargeable controller includes a Power button

WEP and the late Peter O'Keefe adapted the first 1984-1985  Voltron  television series from two  Toei Animation   robot anime  King of Beasts Golion  and  Armored Fleet Dairugger XV . The first  Voltron  series ran for 124 episodes (including a season of WEP-commissioned episodes) from 1984 to 1985, and an American computer-animated  Voltron: The Third Dimension  series ran from 1998 to 2000. Toei Animation  is not involved in producing  Voltron
